TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW
Tournament games will take place Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.
Friday is reserved as a backup day in the event all games cannot be played Saturday and Sunday. If necessary, only local teams will play on Friday evening.
We have no lodging requirements to participate. We recommend booking accommodations early; they often sell out over Memorial Day weekend. Games will be played at fields easily accessible from Glenwood, Carbondale, or Basalt. New Castle and Aspen will be further from the fields but still manageable.
Parking is extremely limited; carpooling is highly recommended.
DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FIELDS!
Scores and schedules will be updated throughout the weekend.
Tournament check-in must be completed Monday, May 24 at midnight.

Rules: 2027 RMI Tournament Rules
Divisions:Boys and Girls 9u-19u; recreational and competitive.
Single-age divisions will be offered where possible. Age groups may be combined depending on registration numbers. Brackets will be organized for competitive balance, with final division formats determined by the number of participating teams.

Halftime is five minutes. Guest players count toward the maximum roster size. Each player may participate on only one team during the tournament.
Tournament Format
All teams are guaranteed at least three games, weather permitting. Matches are played under the IFAB Laws of the Game, as modified by CSA/USYS and the tournament rules.
- Four-team divisions: Three-game round robin; the top two teams advance to the championship.
- Five-team divisions: Four-game round robin; champion and runner-up determined by total points.
- Six-team divisions: Two groups of three; the top two teams in each group advance to semifinals. Third-place teams play a consolation game. Semifinal winners advance to the championship.
- Eight-team divisions: Two groups of four; each team plays three group games. Group winners advance to the championship.
The Tournament Committee may adjust formats for competitive balance.
Scoring
Teams earn up to seven points per match:
- Three points for a win, one for a tie, and zero for a loss.
- One point for each goal scored, up to three per team per match.
- One point for a shutout.
Goal points apply to both teams regardless of the result. A 0–0 tie earns each team two points.
Yellow and red cards do not automatically deduct standings points and are not used as tiebreakers. Disciplinary suspensions and forfeit consequences still apply.
Awards
Champion and Finalist awards will be presented at Tournament Headquarters for each division.

CHECK IN DETAILS
The entirety of tournament check-in MUST be completed through PlayMetrics.
Deadline: the Monday of tournament week (May 24, 2027) at 11:59 pm MT. Rosters will be approved by Thursday.
Each team’s tournament roster must be created in the roster builder in PlayMetrics.
- Teams already connected to PlayMetrics can sync their tournament roster with their existing roster.
- Alternatively, players can be added individually to the tournament roster with their name and DOB.
- Uploading player photos to your tournament roster is NOT required.
Required Documents when Submitting Tournament Roster via Playmetrics:
- Official State‑Verified Team Roster uploaded to PlayMetrics
- If the roster does not include player photos, also upload player ID cards.
- Guest Player Form (if applicable) — upload for any player not on the official roster.
- US Youth Soccer Travel Application (if applicable, e.g., teams outside of Region IV).
Tournament staff will use official state rosters (with photos) to verify tournament rosters as RMI-approved.
RMI-approved tournament rosters will be provided to tournament referees on game cards.
Game‑Day Check-In: Teams are checked in to each game using the RMI‑approved roster printed on the game card.
Medical Releases: NOT uploaded. Coaches must have immediate access (digital or paper) for all players at every match.
